Dear Mom,
Happy Mother’s Day.
I miss you a lot.
It’s hard to let you know that.
I just saw a few of your paintings at the Milgrom’s house the other day.
And I got a cool e-mail from your old student, Dave Chow.
He told me that at the Art Center, children are still discovering their artistic creativity and passion because of you.
I don’t know how, but you still do that to me too.
Each and every day.
I love you Mom, and I miss you.
Happy Mother’s Day,
Greg
I’m an avid anti-commenter, yet I find these compelling. They offer some great features that I didn’t realize were there.
I’m still not going to have comments here, but if I wanted them, I’d certainly use Disqus.
I’ve had a comment-less site for maybe three weeks after using Disqus for a while… But I might enable it again.
Updated Muxtape: That’s What’s Up
Brand new Kidz in the Hall, Elzhi (woweewowee), Cool Kids, Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, and J Dilla. Yes, that’s right… the Midwest is what’s up. Chicago and Detroit… running hip-hop.
Damn. That’s a dope shirt. But who’s the asshole wearing it?
The Cool Kids @ Underground (via geoffreyadler)
Chicago did a great job breaking real talented artists into the mainstream… with Kanye, Common and Lupe. I can’t think of another city that currently has 3 huge and viable commercial artists who just representthe original ethos of hip hop.—

Not that you HAVE to be commerically viable, but yeah… co-sign.
