This site archives old web pages that may not exist anymore. Seriously - I found my old deleted online diary from 2001 on here. So much for “fickleblogging” - Ryan Adams will be bummed.Holy crap. How does this work?? Who’s physically storing all this data??? Is this like a tear in the time-space continuum or the result of string theory?????//?!!11!!??
I have had some INTENSE nights with the Wayback Machine (here’s a post from a month ago). I started Greg’s Nike World in 1998, at the ripe ol’ age of 11, about a year after we got internet service at my house. Basically, all I did back then was look at Nike fan websites. I created “Greg’s Nike World” (GNW for short) on July 10, 1998 and the rest is history. The high point was definitely when I posted the FIRST non-drawn pictures of the Air Jordan XV The Wayback Machine only gets me back to 1999 but I still have a lot of directories/images in my two Tripod accounts that remain to show my web O.G. status. I even started my own Verve fansite in 1998, though it never got off the ground…

Here’s a sweet layout I must have made in 1999. Check out the “about Greg” section… I was definitely funnier (in an absolute, not relative sense) as a 12 year-old than I am now.
